palmer's cocoa butter lip balm

Skin care is essential, no matter what the season is. Sometimes it’s the little carelessness that we end up paying hefty for.  I am someone who loves cocoa butter lip balm. Lips are the major yet most ignored part of our face still there are many who hardly pay any heed to lip care forgetting the fact that if you keep your lips moisturized and care for them on regular basis, they become super soft and healthy.

Today’s post is about a lipcare product, I am reviewing Palmer’s Dark Chocolate and Cherry Lip Balm; Scroll down to read more ๐Ÿ™‚ –Price- INR 130/-

About- Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Dark Chocolate & Cherry Ultra Moisturizing Tinted Lip Balm, enriched with Vitamin E and with the added benefit of SPF 15, helps prevent and protect chapped, cracked or wind-burned lips. Smooth application and convenient size make this the perfect year-round lip balm, leaving lips soft with a subtle cherry red tint.  Key Ingredients-

Cocoa Butter: A rich, natural moisturizer that leaves skin soft and silky, transforming even the roughest, driest areas into buttery soft skin.

Vitamin E: A powerful antioxidant that helps reduce the appearance of scars, stretch marks and imperfections on the skin, giving a more even and toned appearance.Packaging- The lip balm comes in a white plastic bullet which unlike other lip balms is not cylindrical but oval and has a flat body. It has a rotator below which on twisting gets the product out.

Color and Texture- This lip balm is red in color, the blend of dark chocolate and cherry makes it smell super good. I honestly couldn’t resist and licked it, to my surprise it tasted sweet ๐Ÿ˜€ .

Moving to the main feature, the hydration and healing of dry chapped lips. It goes super light on the lips without giving you a feeling of having layered something. It still delivers good amount of moisture. It’s a tinted lip balm, which adds a sheer reddish-pink hue to lips which is just what I want.

A natural flush of color is what I would call it, makes my lips appear good without being too noticeable. I am afraid if the tint would show up ladies with pigmented lips! This lip-balm needs re-application every 4 hours or so. However if you are wearing this at night, you can feel the same layer in the morning too.

I have tried it on dry lips due to change in weather, and it helped in easing the discomfort but I don’t find it powerful enough in healing severely damaged lips. This cocoa butter lip balm comes packed with the goodness of SPF 15 which keeps lips safe from the harsh sun rays to an extent. It contains mineral oil, so if it doesn’t suit you or you don’t like its presence in your skincare- please keep away.

Things I like about this-

  • Smells good.
  • Unique flat tube.
  • SPF 15.
  • Moisturises well.
  • Keeps dryness at bay.
  • Lightweight formula.
  • Good quantity provided.
  • Lasts for 3-4 hours easily.

Things I dislike about this-

  • Contains mineral oil.
  • Not highly pigmented.
  • Not for very dry weather.

Earlier, I was wondering why so many complications for a simple cocoa butter lip balm but the day I carried it in my jeans pocket I knew the resaon why. It just fits easily without bulging or popping out of your jeans. Now, I am so used to this and find it very convenient to use.
