Cetaphil Ultra Hydrating Lotion Review

Finding the right kind of moisturizer is no easy game! You must understand your skin type and how cooperative your skin is when adapting to a new skincare regimen. My previous moisturizer was on the verge of getting over. So, I was checking out Nykaa to stock up a new one and stumbled upon Cetaphil DAM Daily Advance Ultra Hydrating Lotion.

Claims of this product made me pick it, I am using it for over a month now. Let’s discuss this product in detail 😊 –

Cetaphil DAM Daily Advance Ultra Hydrating Lotion is clinically proven to moisturise dry skin for 24 hours. It contains a unique combination of five key ingredients that protects dry skin and leaves it soft and smooth. The Cetaphil Daily Advance Lotion is designed for all over body use from head to toes. It is fast acting, long lasting and great on even the toughest, extra-dry skin.

To begin with, the lotion comes packed in a shiny tube, tube is housed inside a carton which holds complete product information. The back of tube holds almost the same required information as outer pack.

It’s a thick white colored cream with no fragrance, absorbs super quick into the skin. I wonder why they call it lotion when the consistency is cream-like even in summers. Despite its texture, it doesn’t feel greasy at all.

My Experience-

I love how quickly Cetaphil DAM Daily Advance Ultra Hydrating Lotion gets into the skin. It has got creamy texture but in actual it goes super duper light on the skin. No greasy, chip-chip feeling at all ! Now I know why the name “Ultra Hydrating”, it’s intensely moisturizing. It can be used on face and body both.

I use a tiny amount of it every day or whenever needed, and I am highly impressed by how nicely it hydrates my skin; acting as a heavy duty moisturizer and keeping dryness and itchiness at bay markedly. To clarify, I am writing down my experience based on my skin type which is DRY, oily and combination skinned people may find it heavy. It’s available in a smaller sized pack too, you can pick that first to see how it works on your skin before picking this size.

Must say it’s being liked a lot by my dry skin which is always thirsty for more and more moisture. I don’t feel the need to reapply until I wash my face in the evening. I am using it in summer months, so I wouldn’t be able to comment on its performance during harsh winters.

Things I like about this-

  • Affordable
  • Widely available
  • Travel friendly
  • Gets into the skin quickly
  • Highly moisturizing
  • Non-greasy
  • Skin feels hydrated
  • Keeps dry skin flakes at bay
  • Tiny amount required for each use

Things I dislike about this-

  • Presence of so many chemicals

Ratings- 4.7/5

Wrapping it up-

Cetaphil DAM Daily Advance Ultra Hydrating Lotion is your savior if you’re seeking a product that is deeply moisturizing in particular. Can be used on body as well as face. Doesn’t feel sticky/greasy at all. If your skin is dry/very dry it is a must have kind of product. Reapplication isn’t really necessary. Oily skinned people may try the basic version of Cetaphil lotion.
