“Ittar” or “Attar” is a word you’d have definitely heard somewhere, they are natural perfumes and have a strong fragrance. I have always been fascinated with those tiny crystal cut glass bottles in which they are sold. I sniffed it once from my uncle’s ittar bottle and found it way too strong for myself do didn’t try it out that day, but I got an ittar from Hedonista which is a frozen one in MY ENVY BOX August edition box and I ended up trying it thus 😛 . Read on to know how I found it-Price- INR 1045/- for 20gm
About- A solid perfume inspired by fragrant souks and musky monsoons. Dance the night away on a tidal wave of dehn al oudh.Directions- Using your finger, apply behind the ears, on the wrists, throat and backs of knees.
Ingredients- Fractionated coconut oil, Beeswax, Avocado oil, Olive oil, Oudh fragranceMy Take on Hedonista Oudh Frozen Ittar- Ittars mostly come in tiny bottle form (or may be I’ve seen them in that only) so getting a frozen version of it was kinda exciting. It comes in a small tin packaging with a screwable opening. As I unscrewed the cap, I felt like some lip balm/butter is lying inside the pack 😀 . I took a whiff and it smelled wonderful like any other ittar but the fragrance was lil bit on the stronger side. It might give you headache if you don’t prefer strong scents. The texture is balmy and you don’t need any spatula for application but if you wish you can use an cotton-bud. As you apply it, it gets absorbed into skin very quickly. I use it on my pulse points as I find them best for fragrance application. The fragrance stays for a very good time, like if you put it in the morning you can easily smell it by evening. I have applied it multiple times on my wrist, it goes bit strong initially and settles down with passing hours. But even after washing hands properly if you try to sniff your hands you can still smell it 😀 . I already have a lot of fragrances in store, so I use it alternately and since a very small quantity is required per usage this small tin with 20gm product is going to last for months for me. They say that this frozen ittar doesn’t contain artificial colourants or fragrance, Palm oil, Sulphates, Silicones, Parabens, Petroleum derivatives, Phthalates, Amines, PEGs, Formaldehyde which is a wonderful thing.Coming to the downside, I find it priced way too high for an ittar, as they are sold at a very low price. Plus Hedonista is a brand I haven’t heard of, I got to know about them after being introduced by MY ENVY BOX only.
