Well, honestly! I kept myself away from The body shop products thinking they are too pricey and may not be worthy before I hauled some, check my 1st body shop haul here. After having successful encounters with them 😛 I stepped into their hair care products. If you follow me on Instagram, you would know that I made changes to my hair care routine by replacing the previous shampoo and conditioner with “The body shop ginger anti-dandruff shampoo” and “The body shop banana conditioner”. Today, I am reviewing The body shop Banana Conditioner; keep reading to know how it fared on me 🙂 –Price- INR 795/-About- A beauty classic returns. This thick and creamy conditioner leaves hair beautifully soft and tangle-free. It contains real banana puree.
• Leaves hair soft and tangle-free
• Thick and creamy
• Bottle made from 100% recycled plasticMy Take on The Body Shop Banana Conditioner- It comes in standard “The Body Shop” bottle packaging. I have bunch of The body shop shower gels, and the packaging is so damn similar. It has black flip cap which shuts with the sound of a click. The whole cap is screwable one too (best to be unscrewed in those times when conditioner is approaching the finish line). Of all the hair care products I’ve tried, I proudly confess that it smells the best of them all, it makes me feel I am in banana land. The consistency of The Body Shop Banana Conditioner is way too thick as compared to any other conditioner. It smells of ripe bananas but it’s as thick as mango-shake (Yes! That’s how I feel it is 😛 ). It looks like some shake or smoothie which gets really irresistible after taking a whiff. It’s too thick as you can see in the swatch yourself, so taking it out of the bottle is a discomfort. I feel I have to use more of it for each usage as compared to any regular conditioner. It spreads on my hair easily and adds a natural kind of shine post wash, but then I don’t find it moisturizing enough for my dry hair which turn super dry having used TBS ginger shampoo. The fragrance doesn’t linger for long. Honestly! This didn’t really work well for me, maybe because I am using TBS Ginger anti dandruff shampoo which sadly dries out my hair at times 🙁 . But I think if you pair it with some other shampoo it might work well for you. I was planning to pick it’s better half 😛 banana shampoo in place of ginger anti-dandruff shampoo, but I have some serious dandruff problems and after reading so many rave reviews I couldn’t resist picking it for my hair. Wish I picked Banana shampoo to see how the combo works in real.I tried using it over Dove nourishing oil care shampoo and it worked better with it, and helped me get much manageable hair. If you are pairing it with The body shop ginger shampoo, I would suggest you not to do that as that combo doesn’t go really well (For dry hair at least)Here’s the swatch-

The Body Shop Ginger Anti-Dandruff Shampoo
Overall, The Body Shop banana conditioner smells and looks drool-worthy. It makes hair soft and detangles them but if you have dry/super dry hair, you might not find it moisturizing enough. But if you have normal hair, you’ll love the healthy shine it leaves. It tames frizz to a good extent. Go for it if you are a banana lover, you won’t be able to stop yourself from sniffing it.
