My Take on The Body Shop Amazonian Saviour Multi-purpose Balm- The Body Shop Amazonian Saviour Multi-purpose Balm comes housed in a dark green colored tub with a black screw lid, the sticker on the lid features a colorful tattoo design. The way it smells may not be liked by many because we are used to artificial fragrances, and this product doesn’t have any fancy scent added to it. It contains only 9 natural ingredients and smells absolutely natural. No Silicones, No colorants. It’s thick consistency-wise, so you can carry it during travels without the fear of spillage. Despite the thick texture, it goes absolutely light on the skin; it moisturizes the skin without adding greasiness to it. You simply have to run your finger once on the product and apply it on the problem area(read dry skin). Putting the hand inside the tub and coming in direct contact with the product may sound odd to some, for hygiene reasons but that’s how most of the creams and balms are.The basic purpose of this product is to make the tattoos appear better by instantly adding a boost of moisture and sheen. The information sticker placed on the bottom of the tub clearly reads out “Do not apply on open wounds, fresh tattoos or broken skin”, so a quick advice would be to not use it on freshly made tattoos.  It is generally known and sold as a tattoo balm but it’s made to serve multiple purposes. I put it on my lips before I sleep, I reach out for it when my elbows need moisture, apply it on my palms and feet to keep dryness away! 😀  Currently using it around my eyes as a part of my night-skincare regimen. Using it in all possible ways, you see! It’s priced high for a multi-purpose balm but works wonders on dry skin spots. A dab will do for each usage, so the whole tub will last for a good long time.Mine is a 2-year-old tattoo which is as good as a fresh tattoo, so it didn’t make any difference on using daily but, right after applying this over the tattoo, I can clearly notice it darker and full of life 😀 . Which is a big “yay”! Honestly, my tattoo never looked as good before! The sheen and moisture it delivers are beyond my expectations. This a winner product for me, I love the way it works on my skin and makes it healthy and better looking. It’s truly a must-have product if you have tattoos, the cherry on the cake is that it can be used in multiple ways 🙂 .

Pros-

  • Value for money
  • Goes light and oil-free on the skin
  • Made up of 9 natural ingredients
  • Can be used in multiple ways
  • Very good for dry/very dry skin
  • Works really well on tattoos

Cons-

  • The fragrance ! (but that has to be ignored for the fact that it doesn’t contain artifical fragrances)
