Hello ! 🙂
Most of my previous posts were on skincare and bath products, so today I am breaking the chain and reviewing a makeup product I bought while I shopped at nykaa few days back. Maybelline seem to be on a roll this year they recently launched Rebel Bouquet collection with some amazing lipstick shades, toap coats, liners etc. The product I am going to review is one of the much raved product from Maybelline launched few months back which has the intensity of a kajal and defines like a liner, **Drumrolls** it’s none other than Maybelline The Colossal Liner- Black. Read on to know how it fared 🙂 –

My take on Maybelline The Colossal Liner Black-
I am a big fan of pencil-liners and this is my first-ever pen-liner, since the product belonged to Colossal family I expected it to be packed in basic colossal packaging or some other but the product didn’t have any. The liner looks like a sketch pen, all black in color with product details written with yellow (exactly inverse of the basic colossal kajal packaging). It looks exactly like a sketch pen; the cap fits tightly with a click and keeps the product safe and secure. The liner is darkest black in color and has a 0.4mm felt-tip which works wonderfully and the pen is so easy to use that I found it absolutely simple to do winged eye-makeup with no hassle, my hands shake a lot while I apply liquid liners to my eyes, but since it’s a pen it can be held with a better grip than usual liners and the liner-application job becomes as easy as a child’s play.
It is empowered with Ink pigment technology, and has a good color-payoff. The liner dries off quickly within seconds, and goes semi-matte after drying up. Once it sets it gets smudge-proof and stays on eyes for about 6-7hours easily with no fading at all. I am really sad that this liner is not waterproof, it can stand few splashes of water but if rubbed after that it will come off to a great extent, rest of it can be cleaned with facewash easily and it will show no traces of liner left. I haven’t kept it on for 12 hours by now so can’t comment whether the claim is true or not. This liner pen can be a very good option for those who have just begun doing eye-makeup or those who find it hard to apply liquid liners just like me. 🙂

Overall, a good liner pen which gives jet black defining and makes the task of lining easy with fine flexi tip, go for it if you are comfortable in buying a non-waterproof eyeliner at this price.
