No matter how many lip-balms I already have, adding more to my collection gives me immense joy 😀 . I have already reviewed Lakme Lip Love Lip Care in Strawberry variant on the blog, today I am reviewing shade “Cherry” from the same range. Keep reading to know more about it 🙂 –Price- INR 200/- for 3.8 gmAbout- Say hello to Lakme’s newest offering, Lip Love Lip Care – a range of dual core lip balms, the first of its kind in India. Available in 4 flavours – Cherry, Strawberry, Peach and Vanilla. Lip Love is ‘a little tint with lots of love’. Keep those lips moisturized and protected with a winning combination of a luscious creamy core along with a hint of tint and SPF 15. Lakme’s Lip Love tinted sticks are here to make sure you enjoy the best of both worlds! My Take on Lakme Lip Love Lip care Cherry- It comes in a cardboard packaging (which I sadly don’t have with me at the moment 😛 ) that contains product and price information. The ingredients list is completely missing which is a disappointment for those who like digging into it. These are basically available in 6 shades, out of which 4 were launched initially (when I made my purchase) and 2 were added just few months back. I picked Strawberry and Cherry considering the fact that Vanilla and Peach were barely tinted. Cherry comes out to be the most tinted shade of 4 variants that were launched first. It comes in a lipstick kind of twist-up stick packaging which is color coded as per shade name. Since its Cherry shade, the lip balm stick is red. The cap is transparent and also fragile, so it can damage easily. This lip-balm has a slanted tip which eases application. The lip balm stick is all colored and has balmy core which works on providing moisture. It looks pretty similar to Elle 18 lipsticks, and has buttery texture which glides well on lips. The fragrance is sweet candy-like.It comes with the goodness of SPF15 which is an added benefit to a lip-balm. It has a reddish pink tint which comes up when swiped 2-3 times over lips, it adds a shine to lips along with the tint 🙂 . Tinted lip-balms comes really handy when I don’t want to go overboard with makeup and just want to step out with hint of color on lips for a natural look. It moisturizes my lips quite well and the moisturizing effect stays for good 2 hour, then fades off leaving a light pinkish tint behind. The formula doesn’t seem promising enough to cure chapped lips, but for everyday wear and daily lip protection from dryness, one can definitely try it out 🙂 .
Overall, A good lip-balm that seals lips with moisture and layer up with a hint of color. It contains SPF 15. I think it’s priced a little high for a lip-balm because many lip-balms are available in market at a lower price which are more effective and pigmented than this.
