I had few Iraya products lying unopened in my stash which I bought on a whim, it was this diwali season when I opened first product out of them which is “Iraya Almond nutrifying skin food”. The name of the product intrigued me very much. Skin food or food for skin, how awesome does that sound. My past moisturising cream was not good enough to keep my hands and face well moisturized amidst changes and I needed special care. I initially opened it up for softening my hands which got rough. It comes in a small yet bulky tub packaging which is made up of frosted glass. I love how authentic it looks but the fear of dropping it is always there in my mind while I am using it. Carrying it in handbag is something I can’t even think of, considering the weight of the tub; so I let it rest in my cupboard only 😛 . It has a silver colored screw cap as you can see in the pictures also. The opening of the tub came sealed with a foil wrap. It has a wonderful fragrance which is very appealing to nose, nothing overpowering! 🙂 . The color of the cream is off-white and texture is thicker than I expected it to be. When used on totally dry skin, it can take some efforts while you are rubbing/massaging it on, but the best way I found to use it was to put it on damp skin because that way cream gets into skin quickly and is able to lock-in moisture well. A very small quantity is required for face and neck. I will suggest you to put on small quantity of it, otherwise you will end up getting sticky/greasy and heavy feeling. Using this, I feel my skin has tightened to an extent and well hydrated. On each application, I feel my skin brightens up and glows beautifully. I don’t have fine lines or signs of ageing so can’t comment on how it will work on those concerns. It doesn’t only sit on top of skin but goes deep inside. It is good to be used during winters by normal skinned and dry skinned people. For oily skinned people this is just not the right product 🙂 . It contains the goodness of almond oil, bees wax, manjistha, rose water and few other amazing ingredients. Iraya’s products are 100% vegetarian, and they are against animal testing. I used this almond nutrifying skin food twice a day after washing my face and it lasted me around 1.5 months.
