It’s long since I reviewed shampoo on the blog, so I thought to complete and publish this half-done post on Dove shampoo lying in my drafts. Dove is a brand many girls swear by for its effectiveness; a brand that helped many girls deal with unwanted flyaways and frizz. I have used 3-4 shampoos from their range and I am pretty impressed with them, I know the shampoo I am reviewing today was launched way back but it’s now that I gave a try to it. Keep reading to know my review on Dove Nourishing Oil Care Shampoo 🙂Price- INR 75/- for 80 mlAbout- We all want shiny, beautiful hair that’s touchably soft and easy to manage. Did you know that natural oils have been used in hair treatments for many years because of their moisturising, smoothing and deeply nourishing properties? We created Dove Nourishing Oil Care Shampoo to instantly help tame frizzy, unruly hair and, with continuous use, provide nourishment for healthier hair. A great shampoo for dry hair, with vita oils it gently cleanses, instantly making hair feel smoother and deeply nourished from within. Hair is soft and manageable from the first use and healthier in the long run with continuous use. Plus, the non-greasy formula doesn’t weigh hair down.Instructions- Just apply to wet hair, lather and rinse. For best results, follow up with Dove Nourishing Oil Care Conditioner.
Ingredients-My Take on Dove Nourishing Oil Care Shampoo- These are available in bigger sizes also but I played safe and picked the smallest one as this was my first encounter with it. It comes in basic dove shampoo bottle packaging, the top of the cap is golden (a good change from those plain white ones, no?). The flip cap locks tightly making it a throw-me-carelessly-in-the-bag kind of product 😛 .It comes with the goodness of almond and coconut oil. It’s off white in color and has shimmer/glitter particles inside which are present in most dove shampoos, the texture is similar too. Its fragrance never bothers me as I find it lovely. It lathers up nicely and cleans dirt and oil from my hair easily, my naturally dry hair feel soft while shampooing 🙂 . It gives my dry and frizzy hair a good bounce once my hair has dried up completely post wash, also it makes them easily manageable. My hair appears less frizzy while I use this as the formula of this shampoo keeps them soft. Just because it makes hair soft and manageable, doesn’t mean that one can skip conditioner. For best results, I follow it up with conditioner from same oil care range (which I’ll be reviewing very soon). This shampoo accompanied with oil care conditioner work wonders for my hair. My mommy who is a tresemme lover, finds it equally amazing for her hair too 🙂 .If you have dry and rough hair you’ll enjoy using this shampoo as it adds healthy shine and softness to hair; however if they are on oily side, you might not like it as you may feel it makes your hair and scalp more greasy.
Here’s a swatch-
Overall, a great budget friendly shampoo which comes with the goodness of almond and coconut oil. People with dry and frizzy hair will love using it for the nourishing effect and shine it delivers. For best results, use it with the conditioner of same range to double up the moisture and shine. Contains chemicals.
