Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s Cannes Journey So Far!

16 long years at Cannes! And Aishwarya’s fashion game has always been on point. From sarees to gowns, she has always done it gracefully and in a way that only she could have done it. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has become.e the face of Cannes for India. And it’s not for no reason. Check out her  Cannes journey starting right from 2002 till 2018. Get geared for a jaw-dropping experience-

2002- Aishwarya was witnessed donning a beautiful golden saree by Neeta Lulla. Her golden jewelry complemented the golden border of her saree. Simple yet elegant to be precise.

2003- Neon was trending then. And so was witnessed in then Aishwarya Rai’s look. Aishwarya was then seen sporting neon green saree (Neeta Lulla again!) balanced with a light colored noodle sleeve choli. Also, she wore a red and brown colored lehenga in which she simply looked ravishing!!

2004- This year was a combination of Indian and western for Aishwarya. One day she wore a golden kanjivuram saree (sender saree to be her favorite attire!) while the other day she wore a sensuous gown by her favorite designer Neeta Lulla. She completed the look with a beautiful piece of jewelry by Chopard.

2005- This year Cannes witnessed ever gorgeous Aish in western avatar. She nailed it with an Armani can hone and a white floral Gucci gown!

2006- It was a strapless year for Aishwarya at Cannes. A navy blue Roberto Cavalli strapless gown accessorized with a snake-like neck-piece and a black ruffled lace gown. This is what she wore at Cannes 2006.

2007- 2007 was her first Cannes film festival as a married woman. This was evident with her glow in cheeks while she held her hubby dear, Abhishek Bachchan hand in hand. She wore a Giorgio Armani white strapless gown. and completed the look with a diamond choker.

2008- Aishwarya’s three looks at Cannes consisted of Golden, Black and Fuschia gowns. She was accompanied by her husband Abhishek Bachchan.

 2009- Aishwarya wore Roberto Cavalli strapless white gown and a gray Elie Saab one-shoulder gown.
2010- This year Aishwarya sported saree as well as gowns for the event. She wore a beautiful Sabya saree with center parting neatly done. The Armani and Gucci gowns she wore were classic and elegant.
2011- Elie Saab one shoulder embroidered gown and another being a geometric Armani Prive dress were two looks of Aishwarya this year. She accessories the look with beautiful complementing clutches.2012- This was the year when Aish came to Cannes for the first time as a mother. Aish is no different when it comes to natural body changes. Post pregnancy weight was evident. But kudos to her fashion game, that she was still able to glam up the Indian and the western looks so nicely!

2013- Aishwarya wore a one-shoulder teal Gucci gown, for the premiere of while she chose a black and grey Elie Saab gown. This was followed up with two Indian attires.2014- Dress with a small trail were Aishwarya’s looks for the year. Both her gowns had a small trail. The golden and the champagne colored gowns left us awestruck!
2015- This year Aish was bold and beautiful. All her looks were different. But we must say all the shades looked extremely good on her.
2016- wink! wink! Remember how a wink with purple lips became viral this year? Yes Aish’s purple lips were much on talk then. Black to Red and to golden, all her gowns were gorgeous.!

2017- Her 2017 looks had us drop our jaws! she looked A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! A Disney princess in her castle right from a fairy tale is how she looked in all her gowns. Especially, umm you know which we are talking about! 

2018- Aishwarya left us stone stunned this year too with her glam gorgeous looks! A purple gown with a long, really long trail was one look of the event while second look for the French Riviera age donned a Rami Kadi number with an edgy classic hairdo.
Aishwarya is a timeless beauty and a style diva!! Well, we don’t say it, so say her pictures!
